The downside of fixing things up is that areas you planned to leave alone and looked ok now look poor in comparison to the improved areas.

Below, excavation of the drain under the driveway began, as well as rebuilding of low retaining walls along the driveway.

8am committee meeting: 

These pipes used to daylight out next to the steps, and then drain into a pipe that runs under the driveway. That intake got crushed somewhere over the years, so we will cut into the driveway and replace the underground pipe with stronger and wider piping.
