August 25 -- Awkward Bump-Out

One aspect of the patchwork nature of the house's history is how sections were added and spanned. This angled hallway (upper left) bridged the 1788 and 1814 sections by wrapping around the furnace chimney. This hallway will remain, albeit in an improved and widened way, and will be "absorbed" into the interior of the house when the new master bedroom closet is built in front of it.
