September 29 -- More Walk Work

Foundation pouring for the walkway areas begins today.

September 29 -- Access

Gravel was spread into the gap between the garage floor and the existing paving, allowing garage access for our vehicles.

We could have done this weeks ago, I realize now.

September 24 -- Realignment

On second thought, we've decided to square the widened walkway up with the door. Designs for an expanded porch landing are underway, because we just can't conceive of finishing this renovation.

The walk originally led to three steps which were where the exposed block is shown below.

September 21 -- Camouflage

The unsightly improvements to the septic system received some new camouflage today: a few new laurel bushes, and a heap of the extra rocks, all washed down to highlight the variations in the stone.

The improved walkway will also be about a foot wider than before.
